Terms of Engagement – DCS Partners

This document outlines the terms and expectations for individuals engaged by DCS Partners to perform cleaning and/or rubbish removal services across our residential and construction sites.

By accepting work through DCS Partners, you agree to comply with the following terms:

1. Nature of Engagement

1.1 You are engaged as an independent contractor or casual worker.
1.2 The nature of your engagement as a temporary casual worker means that there may be periods when no suitable work is available for you. Engagements are offered on an as-needed basis, and DCS Partners is not obligated to provide ongoing or regular work.
1.3 You are free to accept or decline any offered job, but once accepted, you are expected to attend and complete the work as agreed.

2. Work Standards & Conduct

2.1 You are expected to arrive on time, dressed appropriately for the work (clean, practical clothing and enclosed footwear).
2.2 All cleaning and rubbish removal tasks must be carried out to a professional standard, ensuring attention to detail and care for client property.
2.3 You must follow all reasonable instructions from DCS Partners’ management, site supervisors, and clients.
2.4 Unprofessional behaviour, poor workmanship, or repeated unreliability may result in immediate removal from our roster.

3. Tools, Equipment & Safety

3.1 DCS Partners will provide the required cleaning products, tools, and protective equipment unless agreed otherwise.
3.2 You are expected to use all tools and products safely and responsibly.
3.3 You must comply with all relevant Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements while on site.
3.4 Any injuries, incidents, or hazards must be reported immediately to your DCS supervisor or contact person.

4. Job Acceptance & Cancellations

4.1 Once a job is accepted, it is your responsibility to attend the site at the scheduled time.
4.2 If you are unable to attend due to illness or emergency, you must notify DCS Partners as early as possible to allow us to arrange cover.
4.3 Last-minute cancellations or no-shows without valid reason may affect future job offers.

5. Payment & Invoicing

5.1 DCS Partners offers work on either an hourly rate or fixed job price, as discussed and confirmed prior to each job.
5.2 Contractors must submit invoices with correct job references and hours worked.
5.3 Payment terms are weekly or fortnightly, depending on your engagement type.
5.4 You are responsible for your own tax, superannuation, insurance (if applicable), and any relevant business registrations if working as an independent contractor.

6. Confidentiality & Respect

6.1 You must respect the privacy of clients and not share any information, images, or job details without written permission.
6.2 You are expected to treat all clients, staff, and fellow contractors with respect and professionalism at all times.

7. Right to Work in Australia

7.1 By accepting work through DCS Partners, you confirm that you have the legal right to work in Australia and are entitled to work in the position or role required by any Assignment you accept.
7.2 You agree to immediately notify DCS Partners if your right to work status changes at any time.

8. Termination of Engagement

8.1 DCS Partners reserves the right to end your engagement at any time if work standards are not met, if there are breaches of these terms, or for any conduct that could damage our reputation.
8.2 You may also end your engagement at any time with reasonable notice.

9. Drugs & Alcohol

9.1 You must attend work, and at all times perform your duties, free from the effects of alcohol and any illegal drugs in your possession while at work.
9.2 You may take prescription or pharmacy medications at work for legitimate medical reasons. However, if these medications are likely to impact your performance or behaviour on site, you must notify the site supervisor at the Client, or if unavailable, another responsible person at the Client’s organisation.
9.3 Complying with workplace requirements regarding drugs and alcohol is especially critical in high-risk environments — including but not limited to driving, working at heights, or operating heavy machinery.
9.4 These requirements are in addition to and subject to any specific policies or procedures of the Client, which do not form part of this agreement but must be followed while on site
